U.S. Death Rates and Disease in 2016

The presentation was part of a short project that I conducted by finding two separate data sources and merging them to find variables that might be correlated with death rates in the US. I chose these data sets because they could be merged by correcting the data types, ensuring the granularity for analysis, and they came from the U.S. government which meant their integrity was sound. More than anything I wanted to focus on accuracy, getting a clear picture of the data on the dashboard and making the findings clear to understand. Financial Contributions By Drugs and Devices in USD (2017)

The purpose of this dashboard was to analyze the amount spent on pharmaceutical research and development on all Medical Devices, Drugs and Biologicals in the United States. I made the dashboard interactive so that different variables can be selected and drilled down. There is a large amount of data so it will be reflected in the refreshing speeds when you attempt to drill down. The data in this dashboard came from a government source cited in the dashboard. In this case, I created the dashboard but I did not ETL the data.
